Astrology Corner: Weekly Energetic Forecast
May 4th–10th, 2026 | Depth over comfort, what's real will remain.
Good morning, divine tribe, and happy Monday!✨
I hope everyone enjoyed a restful weekend after that Scorpio Full Moon last Friday—it could’ve been a deeply powerful awakening or purge, so allow yourself to sit with whatever insight might’ve been revealed through the release. And while we’re not exactly skipping into sunshine and rainbows this week, we are moving into something more grounded, more intentional, and honestly… more useful. This is a week that’s asking you to slow down enough to actually think clearly.
The throughline here is really depth over breadth.
Between Pluto stationing retrograde from May 6 to October 15, 2026, Mercury’s confrontation with Pluto and the Nodes, Venus and Lilith in opposition, and the Moon moving through Capricorn and Aquarius for most of the week—this isn’t the time for skimming the surface. The universe is asking you to be honest with yourself about what’s actually working, what you’re holding onto out of comfort or fear, and what’s being restructured, whether you’re ready or not.
The good news is that the week ends on a note of genuine warmth and expansion, so just trust the process… even when Wednesday feels like it’s undoing something. It’s just making room!
***All times listed are EST***
Monday: May 4th
We open with the Moon still waning in Sagittarius, which gives the day a lingering expansive, optimistic quality—but early in the morning around 3:15 am, the Moon opposes Venus in Gemini, which might have had some of us up late or waking with something on our hearts around connection, desire, or the push and pull between needing freedom and wanting closeness. By 5:33 pm the Moon trines Mars and goes void of course, so this evening’s energy is better for processing than pushing anything forward. Then at 10:08 pm, Mars in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer, and this one’s loud.
Mars square Jupiter is ambition on overdrive—it’s the “yes and” energy that doesn’t stop to check the budget, the bandwidth, or the emotional cost. You might feel a strong urge to push, to expand, to act big. Some of that impulse is good. Just watch where the enthusiasm tips into impulsivity, especially around anything home, family, or security-related, given Jupiter’s placement in Cancer. The Moon being void all evening is actually a quiet reminder not to let that Mars-Jupiter buzz talk you into making any major moves before you’ve slept on it.
Tuesday: May 5th
The Moon moves into Capricorn at 3:06 pm, ending the void and grounding us considerably after Sagittarius’ fire. A few hours later, Mercury in Taurus squares Pluto at 6:08 pm—and almost immediately after, Mercury sextiles the North Node and trines the South Node at 6:40 pm. That Mercury-Pluto square is not comfortable. Pluto in Aquarius doesn’t do small talk—it probes at systems, the deeper mechanics, and what’s really being communicated beneath the surface. Mercury in Taurus wants to be slow and deliberate, but Pluto is going to surface something that demands more depth than “I’ll think about it later.” You might find yourself having a conversation—internally or externally—that cuts right to it. Something you’ve been circling finally has to be looked at directly.
The saving grace is that Mercury simultaneously activates the Nodes, which gives that confrontation a sense of purpose. Whatever comes up isn’t random—it’s pointing you somewhere. The temptation will be to over-analyze it until it makes perfect logical sense, but the North Node is asking for something more surrendered than that right now. Try to follow the feeling before you fully understand it. Later that night at 10:00 pm, the Capricorn Moon squares Neptune, which can blur the clarity you just worked hard to find. Capricorn wants to hold structure, but Neptune will test that—so be mindful of escaping into fantasy or second-guessing yourself right before bed. Write it down and sit with it. Don’t dissolve it.
Wednesday, May 6th, carries the most weight of the week.
In the early morning hours around 3:54 am, the Moon trines Mercury—a brief, helpful window of mental clarity and emotional alignment, good for anyone doing early morning… or late night, journaling or processing. Then, at 10:51 am, the Moon squares Saturn, which can feel like hitting a wall or being confronted with a responsibility or limitation you’d rather not deal with.
And then at 11:34 am EST, Pluto stations retrograde—this is the big one, and it deserves to be named clearly!
When Pluto stations, the energy is palpable even if you can’t name it. In Aquarius, Pluto has been slowly dismantling outdated structures, group dynamics, and the ways we participate in collective systems. Retrograde doesn’t mean it pauses—it means the work goes inward. This annual, five-month period forces an intense reevaluation of power dynamics, technological advancements, and personal, as well as collective, transformation. If something in your life has felt like it’s been unraveling, Wednesday might mark the point where you stop trying to fix it externally and start asking what it’s reflecting about your own internal structure.
Paired with the Moon squaring Saturn that morning, there’s a theme of being asked to be honest about where you’ve been avoiding accountability—to yourself, especially. Then at 4:23 pm, Venus in Gemini opposes Lilith in Sagittarius. Venus in Gemini loves connection, communication, and options—Lilith in Sag is wild, uncompromising, freedom-oriented truth. This opposition can surface tension around relationships, creative choices, or values where someone’s been playing it safe or people-pleasing. There’s a confrontation available here between what you genuinely want and what you’ve been settling for in the name of keeping things light or easy.
Thursday: May 7th
The Capricorn Moon continues, and in the very early hours at 12:44 am, the Moon trines the Taurus Sun—a quiet, grounding moment of inner alignment if you happen to be up, and a generally stabilizing undercurrent going into the day. Then at 7:10 am, the Moon opposes Jupiter in Cancer, which echoes Monday’s Mars-Jupiter tension—there might be a moment of overreach, over-feeling, or wanting more than the structure around you currently allows.
By 10:18 am, the Moon squares Mars and goes void of course again. Moon square Mars in Aries can bring irritability to the surface, a short fuse, or that restless feeling of wanting to act without having a clear direction to aim at. You might feel like you’re pushing against something or that something’s pushing against you, but it’s not a situation to force through. Let Thursday be a day of tying things up rather than starting anything new, and if you feel tension rising, try to name what’s underneath it before you react to it.
Friday: May 8th
The Moon enters Aquarius at 3:28 am EST, ending the void and shifting the emotional atmosphere from Capricorn’s heaviness into something more detached, curious, and forward-thinking. At 4:49 am, the Moon trines Uranus—a quietly electric moment, good for insight and out-of-the-box thinking, even if it comes through in a dream or a half-awake idea. At 10:22 am, the Moon sextiles Neptune, softening things a little, making space for intuition and creativity.
Then at 2:21 pm, the Moon conjuncts Pluto—right in the middle of the day, and coming just two days after Pluto stationed retrograde, this one might feel emotionally heavy or revelatory depending on what’s been sitting with you since Wednesday. Something could surface in your body, in a conversation, or in a moment of unexpected clarity; let it be informative rather than destabilizing. The day closes with the Moon sextiling Saturn at 11:16 pm, which is actually a very grounding, stabilizing note to end the week’s most intense stretch on—a quiet “okay, I can handle this” kind of energy.
Saturday: May 9th
The Last Quarter Moon perfects at 5:10 pm EST with the Moon in Aquarius squaring the Taurus Sun. But before that, at 4:07 am, the Moon squares Mercury—mental chatter might be loud in the early morning hours, second-guessing, replaying conversations. And at 4:39 pm, the Moon trines Venus, which softens right into the Last Quarter perfection a half hour later. Last Quarter Moons are release points—not the dramatic release of a Full Moon, but the quieter, more deliberate kind where you’re making a conscious choice about what you’re carrying versus what you’re ready to let go of before the next cycle begins. With Aquarius Moon squaring Taurus Sun, the friction is between what’s emotionally familiar and stable versus what needs to evolve. Something about your routines, your comfort zones, and your relationship to security is up for honest revision.
Sunday: May 10th
The Moon goes void of course very early at 1:08 am after a sextile to Mars—a little activation before the quiet—and then enters Pisces at 1:40 pm EST, ending the void and shifting the whole mood into something softer, more compassionate, more intuitive. At 3:12 pm, the Moon squares Uranus, which might bring a moment of restlessness or an unexpected emotional curveball right as you’re trying to ease into the Pisces vibe—but it passes. And then the week closes at 10:13 pm with the Sun in Taurus sextiling Jupiter in Cancer, and honestly, that’s a beautiful note to end on. It’s warm and nourishing, like a quiet exhale after a week that required a lot of depth from you. Let Sunday actually be a rest day. Let the Pisces Moon hold you; the week earns it.
