Astrology Corner: Weekly Energetic Forecast
April 6th–12th, 2026 | Letting Go, Leveling Up, and the Return of the Warrior!
Hey loves, welcome back to the Astrology Corner! Pull up a chair, grab your coffee or your tea, and let’s talk about what the cosmos has cooking for us this week because honestly, it’s a big one, and I’m excited to share the news with you!
We’re spending most of this week releasing and restructuring energy, riding out the waning moon through some very serious, very intentional signs, and then Thursday delivers one of the most electric shifts we’ve had in a while. So let’s not waste any time!
Here’s the overall vibe for the week: we’re in a closing chapter.

The waning moon phase is all about releasing, reflecting, and clearing out what’s no longer working, and that energy is going to feel very present from Monday through the weekend. Think of this week less like a launchpad and more like a deep cleaning before the new season begins.
You’re not meant to be pushing and grinding right now. You’re meant to be getting honest, letting go, and making space. Then Thursday comes in and completely flips the script in the best possible way. More on that in a moment…
A few things to keep in your back pocket as context for the whole week:
Mars has been moving through Pisces for a while now, which has made our drive and motivation feel a little foggy, unclear, maybe even draining. That changes this week.
Jupiter is still in Cancer, wrapping up its beautiful, expansive journey through that sign, so themes of home, family, emotional security, and abundance are still active in the background.
Saturn and Neptune are both sitting in early Aries, which means bold action and dreamy idealism are in a bit of a push-pull, asking us to be courageous but also grounded. That’s the backdrop we’re walking into.
Now let’s get into the energy behind this week!
Monday, April 6th
We open the week with the moon cruising through Sagittarius in her waning gibbous phase, and this is genuinely a beautiful starting point if you know how to work with it. The waning gibbous is the phase right after the full moon, meaning the light is beginning to decrease. Emotionally, this translates to a natural pull toward reflection and release.
It’s not a “push, push, push” kind of energy. It’s more of a “sit with it” kind of vibe.
Sagittarius moon energy is normally expansive, optimistic, and hungry for truth and adventure. She wants to roam, ask big questions, and laugh loudly. But in her waning phase, that fire gets a little more introspective. So instead of running toward the next big thing, you might find yourself reviewing your beliefs, questioning the stories you’ve been telling yourself, asking things like “Is this philosophy I’ve been living by actually serving me?” or “Do I actually believe in what I’ve been building, or have I just been going through the motions?”
This is a really potent day for journaling, long walks, conversations with people who make you think, or just sitting with a sense of wanderlust and letting it tell you something. If you’ve been feeling restless, that’s the Sagittarius moon talking. She’s not restless without reason; she’s pointing you somewhere.
Practically speaking, Monday’s a great day for wrapping up creative projects that have been lingering, tying up loose ends in travel plans, higher education, publishing, or anything that involves your bigger vision for your life. If there’s something you’ve been studying, creating, or pursuing that doesn’t excite you the way it once did, that feeling is going to be hard to ignore today.
Tuesday, April 7th
We stay in the same energy today, moon still waning and still in Sagittarius, so a lot of what was true Monday carries through. But Tuesday has a slightly more restless edge to it.
Two full days in waning Sagittarius can start to feel a little antsy because that fire sign energy really does want to move. You might notice yourself feeling like you’re between chapters—not quite finished, and not quite starting. That limbo feeling is real, but it’s not a sign that something’s wrong.
This is actually a great day to do the things you’ve been putting off that require honesty. Have a tough conversation you’ve been avoiding, admit to yourself that something isn’t working, delete the texts, and unfollow the accounts! The waning moon is giving you full permission to do small acts of energetic hygiene that you’ve been delaying because you weren’t quite ready.
Sagittarius also rules legal matters, foreign connections, higher learning, and our overall worldview. If any of those areas of life have felt messy or unresolved lately, you might get some clarity today, or at least feel more ready to address them. And if you’ve been meaning to book a trip, research a course, or reach out to someone in a different city or country, the energy supports it.
Just watch for the classic Sagittarius pitfall of overpromising or speaking before you’ve fully thought something through. With the moon waning, it’s better to say less and mean it fully than to say everything and have to walk half of it back.
Wednesday, April 8th
Okay… Wednesday is the busiest day of the week and it deserves your full attention. A lot happens in a short window of time, so let’s break it down step by step and in chronological order.
We start the morning still in that Sagittarius waning gibbous moon, but things shift pretty quickly. At 5:51 AM EST, the moon squares Mars in Pisces before going void of course. A void-of-course moon, or VOC for short, is when the moon has made its last major aspect in a sign and is just floating before it moves into the next sign. Think of it like the moon being between assignments; she’s done with Sagittarius but hasn’t clocked into Capricorn yet.
Decisions made during VOC moons often don’t go anywhere, plans change, things get muddled, and the energy is just kind of spacey. For most of us, VOC periods are best used for rest, reflection, and finishing up existing tasks rather than starting anything new or making big choices. But let’s talk about that last aspect real quick, because the moon in freedom-loving Sagittarius, squaring Mars in watery, sensitive Pisces, is a friction aspect.
Squares create tension that asks us to act or adjust. It can surface as irritability, impatience, emotional reactivity, or that feeling where you know you want something, but you can’t quite articulate what. You might wake up feeling edgy, restless, or like something under the surface is bothering you that you can’t name. Old frustrations and things you’ve been brushing past might pop up demanding attention, and arguments can flare up from nowhere. So if you have an early morning, stay extra mindful before speaking, especially about things that feel charged.
Then from 5:51 AM to 8:05 AM, we’re in that void of course window. Use those hours gently. Don’t make major decisions, don’t sign anything, don’t send the email you’ve been sitting on. Just drink your water, touch your grass, nourish your body, heart, and mind, and just ease into the day.
At 8:05 AM EST, the moon shifts into Capricorn and the energy completely transforms. This is like the lights coming back on! Capricorn moons are grounded, disciplined, strategic, and business-oriented. It brings a seriousness and composure that Sagittarius doesn’t always have. If the beginning of the week felt emotional and expansive, Capricorn moon says: “Okay, now let’s get organized.”
This is excellent energy for tackling tasks that require focus, making a plan, having a professional conversation, thinking about money, setting boundaries in your personal life or work life, or doing anything that requires you to be the adult in the room.
Then at 12:11 PM EST, we get Mars in Pisces forming a sextile to Uranus in Taurus. This is a genuinely exciting aspect. A sextile is a harmonious, opportunistic angle between two planets, and this one is sparking some unexpected creative and material breakthroughs.
Mars is our drive, action, and willpower. Pisces makes that energy imaginative, spiritually oriented, and compassionate. Uranus in Taurus is all about innovation in the physical world, unexpected shifts in finances, resources, values, and the body. When they form a sextile, you get this sweet window where an inspired, maybe even surprising idea can actually turn into something tangible.
Think: an unexpected opportunity related to money or a creative project drops in your lap.
A sudden burst of inspiration that actually has practical legs, or a conversation about shared resources or collaborative work that opens a door you didn’t see coming. This is also great energy for anything involving music, art, healing modalities, or spiritual practice intersecting with the material world.
That podcast idea?
That artistic side project?
The wellness offering you’ve been wanting to launch?
This aspect gives it a little cosmic wind in the sails.Wednesday’s overall theme is emotional honesty in the morning, followed by disciplined momentum in the afternoon. Move with it.
Thursday, April 9th
The moon is still in Capricorn today, continuing that structured, goal-oriented, no-nonsense vibe from Wednesday. But all of that is really just the opening act because what happens at 3:36 PM EST this afternoon is the headline of the entire week:
Mars enters Aries!!!

This is ENORMOUS; genuinely a big deal, and I don’t say that lightly.
Mars is the planet of action, ambition, drive, desire, passion, and willpower. Mars is literally our warrior energy, our ability to go after what we want, fight for what matters, and take decisive action. And Aries is Mars’ home sign: Mars rules Aries. This is the planet returning to the sign it governs, which means Mars will be operating at full power. No dilution. No compromise. The warrior is home!
For context, Mars has been in Pisces, which is a very different kind of energy. Pisces is soft, fluid, spiritual, and sometimes unclear. Mars in Pisces is a bit like trying to run in water. You can do it, but it takes more effort, and the progress feels slower than it looks. A lot of us may have been feeling drained, unmotivated, emotionally heavy, or like our efforts haven’t quite been hitting the way we hoped. Maybe projects stalled or your drive just felt… absent. Maybe you’ve been overthinking every move instead of actually making one.
That changes today.
Mars in Aries is the spark after weeks of fog. It’s boldness, it’s confidence, it’s the feeling of “okay, I know what I want, and I’m going after it!” Aries doesn’t second-guess itself the way Pisces does; it just moves. It takes the leap, sends the pitch, starts the project, has the confrontation, books the flight, and makes the ask. Mars will be in Aries through mid-summer, so this is not a one-day burst. This is an extended season of being able to access your fire again in a clean, direct, purposeful way.
Here’s what this can look like in your actual life:
You finally start the thing you’ve been putting off for weeks or months.
You find yourself more energized after rest, instead of waking up already exhausted.
Conversations you’ve been avoiding feel more manageable, even necessary.
Your body wants to move. Exercise, dancing, physical work, anything kinetic.
Romantic attraction can feel more electric and direct. You know what you want.
In business, you stop waiting for the perfect moment and just send it.
Conflict that you’ve been suppressing may surface and need to be addressed head-on, and you’ll actually have the energy to handle it.
What to keep in mind: Mars in Aries is powerful, but it can also be impulsive. Aries moves fast, and that’s mostly a gift, but it can sometimes mean acting before thinking.
Watch for aggression disguised as confidence. Watch for starting ten things at once because everything feels exciting now. The Capricorn moon energy holding us through the day actually helps balance this beautifully. Capricorn says: “Be strategic. Have a plan. Use your fire wisely.” That’s the medicine for Thursday.
Give yourself a moment to breathe and acknowledge this shift. If your body feels different in the late afternoon, if you feel a little more alive, this is the energy behind why.
Friday, April 10th
Friday is layered. We wake up with the last quarter moon in Capricorn, and this is a meaningful lunar phase. The last quarter, also called the third quarter moon, is when the moon is exactly half-lit, and it marks a significant turning point in the lunar cycle. This is the “crisis of consciousness” phase. Something needs to be released, reviewed, or re-evaluated before we can move into the next new moon.
The last quarter moon is asking: What are you holding onto that you’ve already outgrown? What structure in your life has stopped serving you? What do you need to walk away from, adjust, or complete before you can move forward?
In Capricorn, this is particularly pointed. Capricorn rules career, legacy, reputation, authority, ambition, boundaries, and responsibility. So the last quarter moon here is asking you to look honestly at those areas.
Is your work still aligned with where you want to go? Are you taking responsibility for the right things and releasing responsibility for things that aren’t yours to carry? Are your structures and routines still serving you, or are they just familiar?
Then at 6:23 PM EST, the moon in Capricorn forms a trine to Uranus in Taurus and this is the final aspect before the VOC begins. A trine is a flowing, harmonious aspect, and Uranus is the planet of surprise, liberation, and sudden change. So this is a lovely, electric little gift at the end of the day.
A trine between the Capricorn moon and Uranus in Taurus can bring an unexpected insight about your finances, an out-of-nowhere opportunity related to work or your material life, or a sudden clarity about something you’ve been working through. It happens fast and feels almost like a lightbulb moment. You might get news, receive an unexpected message, or just have a realization that shifts your perspective.
After 6:23 PM, the moon goes void of course again, so the late evening is another good time to wind down rather than force anything new.
At 7:56 PM EST, the moon moves into Aquarius and the VOC ends. The entire vibe shifts. Where Capricorn is serious and strategic, Aquarius is innovative, social, quirky, and community-minded. Friday night energy after 8 PM is actually great for connecting with friends, diving into something unusual or intellectually stimulating, or just embracing whatever makes you feel a little outside the box. Aquarius moons don’t do boring; they want conversation, ideas, and freedom.
Saturday, April 11th
Welcome to the waning crescent, also called the balsamic moon! This is the most surrendered, restful phase of the entire lunar cycle. The moon is barely a sliver of light in the sky, and energetically, it mirrors that. We’re in the very end of the cycle, the quiet before the new moon arrives. This isn’t the time to hustle. This is genuinely a time to slow down, retreat inward, clear your space, and let yourself be still.
In Aquarius, the waning crescent has an interesting quality. Aquarius is usually a pretty mentally active sign, always thinking, always connecting dots. But in this phase, even that mental energy is quieter, more detached, almost philosophical. You might find yourself thinking about the collective, about humanity, about where things are going, and what your place in it is. That’s very Aquarian and very appropriate for this phase.
Saturday is perfect for:
Clearing physical clutter, your closet, your desk, your digital files.
Meditating or doing any kind of spiritual practice.
Restorative movement, yoga, stretching, walking in nature.
Letting yourself have a completely unscheduled day.
Reviewing what you want to call in during the upcoming new moon.
Being with people who feel easy and uncomplicated.
This is also a great day to detox socially. Aquarius rules community and networks, and the waning phase through this sign can surface a sense of where your social energy is being drained or where your connections feel out of alignment. It’s okay to be a little hermit-y today—it’s actually encouraged.
Mars is now newly in Aries, which means your body might feel like it wants to move and push. Resist the urge to override this waning moon energy just because you have the drive for it. Use Saturday to direct that Aries Mars energy inward. Channel it into intention-setting rather than external action.
Sunday, April 12th
Sunday carries a soft, open-ended energy. Still a waning crescent moon in Aquarius, the themes from Saturday continue but with an even more open, surrendered quality. If Saturday was the exhale, Sunday is the pause at the bottom of the breath before the next inhale.
There’s also something worth noting today because on this night, Mars conjoins Neptune in Aries. The exact timing in EST falls very late on Sunday, technically after midnight, but you’ll likely feel it building throughout the day. When Mars, the warrior planet now fully energized in Aries, meets Neptune, the planet of dreams, illusions, and spiritual depth, things get a little hazy—even in an Aries sky. It’s like someone turns the contrast down just slightly. Action and vision are merging, but the vision isn’t fully clear yet. You might feel inspired, but not quite sure what to do with it. You could feel driven, but also a little confused about the direction.
This is actually beautiful energy for spiritual practice, creative work, dreamwork, and anything that blends imagination with intention. It’s not great for making permanent, concrete decisions. But it’s exquisite for sitting with a vision of who you want to be and letting that vision wash over you.
Write down your dreams tonight, literally—keep a notebook by your bed. The Mars-Neptune conjunction in Aries is a deeply creative, almost cinematic energy, and your sleeping mind is going to be active.
An Aquarius moon on a Sunday is also genuinely one of the better placements for community, friendship, and heart-centered conversations. Call your people, have the conversation you’ve been meaning to have, do something that feels a little unconventional—something you don’t normally do on a Sunday.
Let the week close on a note of openness!
Closing Thoughts
What a week! We’re moving through release and reflection, touching the final chapter of this lunar cycle, welcoming Mars home to Aries in a way that genuinely changes the collective temperature, and closing Sunday in the soft in-between before something new begins. This week is less about doing and more about becoming. Let the early days clear the cobwebs. Let Thursday light you back up. And let the weekend remind you that rest is part of the work too.
The new moon is coming. Make space for what you actually want to call in.
And I’ll see you next week.✨
