For those of y’all who are ready for some progress and for things to get moving, you’ll probably be somewhat happy with the upcoming month.

And I say “somewhat” because, well… it’s not exactly speed I’m picking up on. I know it’s the second month of the year and all, but February actually carries a whole lotta 2 energy…I’m picking up on what comes before the rush; the choice of what’s actually worth pursuing.

Welcome to the Divine Vitality February Tarot Forecast!💛✨

The Divine Vitality is a reader-supported publication, part of my Black woman–owned small business, run entirely by me! Thank you for being here💛✨ Every interaction and subscription, free or paid, helps me sustain my readings, reflections, and insights with intentional, grounded care.

We might already be in a new numerical year, but energetically, we’re still wrapping up the tail-end of the Year of the Wood Snake according to the Chinese zodiac.

The date for the Chinese New year shifts around in our Gregorian calendar because the traditional Chinese calendar is based on a lunar cycle with 30 days in each month. It is for the same reason that Easter also falls on a different date each year.

Here’s been the vibe:

Wood: patient growth, laying foundations, expansion, creativity. Think slow and steady, building something that lasts.
Snake:
shedding illusions, rebirth, subtle strategy, mystery. Watching, waiting, letting things reveal themselves before you act.

I don’t know about y’all, but January has felt frustratingly slow. Maybe it’s because I can literally feel what’s coming around the riverbend lol.

There’s been a lot of endings and transitions that have started, but not a lot of landings, conclusions, or real change. It feels like many of us are back in these ethereal waiting rooms, practicing patience and stillness again. Which personally, has felt annoying, tedious even—especially because it feels like the culmination of all the patience I’ve been holding onto for years really.

We haven’t fully stepped into our numerical 1 year yet. We’re still shedding the 9 until Chinese New Year on February 17th! That’s when we’ll start feeling progress creep in with its Fire Horse energy:

Fire: action, courage, momentum, passion, high energy, things moving faster than usual, bold choices, sparks, inspiration, risk-taking.
Horse: freedom, independence, forward movement, adventure, restlessness, embracing your path without holding back, trusting your own pace, sometimes a little unpredictable.

And this is where I see the choices starting to come to the forefront…

Card Breakdown:

Theme of the Month: Seven of Cups

Energy Flow: Ace of Pentacles Reversed

Be Mindful Of: Page of Swords Reversed

What the Collective Is Being Asked to Do: Nine of Cups Reversed

Closing Reflection Energy: Bottom of Deck

February feels like a month of discernment and decisions. So maybe no fireworks or big leaps just yet, but a month that brings options and possibilities. A month that tests your clarity and asks you to name your values, boundaries, and standards.

And then will ask you to stand by them before stepping forward.

THEME: Seven of Cups

This card is wild because it brings so many choices…so many ways you could go, that part of you might actually stall.

There are opportunities, sure. But not all of them are real, aligned, or even good. Some of them might be dreamy illusions that feel emotionally compelling but don’t actually serve your growth.

So the message next month is:
Don’t just choose because something looks good—ask yourself, “Is this aligned? Is this real? Does this actually serve ME?”
Not what others want, not what your ego wants, but your future self.

This month will require some real honesty and accountability. This energy actually reminds me of the Justice card. Not in an overly positive way, but in a karmic one. You don’t necessarily get what you want. You get what you align with. You get what you nurture. So choose consciously.

ENERGY FLOW: Ace of Pentacles Reversed

What I picked up from this is that the physical world might feel a bit stuck on replay. Things could feel delayed, misaligned, or like they need reworking before new beginnings can take form. This is the liminal space we’re working through before landing solidly into our new chapters.

Missed opportunities from the past could resurface, you might need to revisit something you dropped or missed previously, things could feel like they’re taking longer than expected, and you also want to be aware of procrastination stealing away precious time because of having too many options.

This is all to emphasize the importance of checking the fine print before signing, what’s the details? Refine the possibilities, don’t romanticize them.

BE MINDFUL OF: Page of Swords Reversed

This card is important because it adds context behind the why we need to be cautious with our choices in the upcoming month. This card is like words without backbone or thoughts without action.

It can show up as people trying to reconnect with zero intent to follow through on what it takes to do so, conversations and talk that lead nowhere, “loud and wrong” vibes, and rushing in to avoid feeling stuck.

This month really feels like a checkpoint: Have you truly processed what needs releasing? Or are you just recycling old patterns and calling it new?

Because if you act from confusion or ego, you’ll end up right back where you started.

WHAT YOU’RE ASKED TO DO: Nine of Cups Reversed

The Nine of Cups reversed doesn’t have to be a “bad card”. upright, it’s about our heart’s desires fulfilled, but in this context, it simply provides more clarity. It’s asking you to honestly look at what satisfies you deeply versus superficially.

Where have you been saying yes when you really want to say no? What relationships, opportunities, habits, or dreams do you engage with that feel emotionally compelling but aren’t truly aligned?

It’s kind of like the universe is handing you a mirror and going:
“Look at what actually fills you up, not what just looks pretty.”

This is where February gets juicy, if you can tell the difference between:
✨ actual desire✨ vs anxious fantasy or fear/lack/limiting belief-based choices.

Once you do that, the fog starts to clear.

THE UNDERLYING VIBE

Closing out this month’s forecast are the cards I found at the bottom of the deck:

Emotional state and Inner Awareness: Four of Cups and The Moon

  • Emotional disengagement, boredom, overlooking something important, feeling unimpressed, or disconnected

  • Subconscious patterns, intuition, emotional undercurrents, illusion vs truth, dreams, and things not yet fully seen

Misalignment and Choice Confusion: The Lovers reversed and Two of Wands reversed

  • Misaligned values, wrong choices, inner conflict, disharmony in relationships or priorities

  • Procrastination, lack of direction, fear of choosing wrong, hesitation to move forward

Mental Clarity and Communication: Ace of Swords reversed and Queen of Swords

  • Confusion, unclear thinking, miscommunication, inner conflict, misuse, or suppression of truth

  • Needed clarity, boundaries, discernment, cutting through illusion, self-honesty, no B.S. energy

Movement and Timing: Eight of Wands reversed

  • Delays, frustration, blocked momentum, things not taking off as quickly as expected, timing issues

February isn’t asking you to rush toward certainty. It’s asking you to sit with what’s unclear, trust your inner guidance, and move carefully rather than impulsively.

Taken together, the underlying vibe of this month is a reminder: clarity comes from slowing down, choosing consciously, and honoring intuition over urgency. The fog lifts when you stop pretending you don’t feel what you already know.

Book a reading with me💛✨

Before closing this out, I pulled one more spread to look at where your energy is naturally headed next, without forcing timelines or outcomes.

This part is for those who feel a quiet shift happening and want clarity on what’s unfolding beneath the surface, what’s being released, and what you’re moving toward, even if it’s not fully visible yet.

If you feel called to go deeper, that’s where we’ll continue for my paid subscribers. 💛✨

I’ll be pulling cards to look at:

  • where your energy is already moving

  • what’s quietly closing out

  • what opens up when you stop overthinking the next step

  • a sneak peek into March🌚✨
