Sacred Sunday: Divine Guidance on Integrity, Offerings, and Personal Accountability
A bibliomancy message from the Book of Malachi on conscious choices, self-discipline, and honoring your highest path
Happy 1st of the month and a Sacred Sunday to all!🕊️✨
I’m so excited to finally be stepping into fresh, spring energy soon, and even more so with God guiding me to the Book of Malachi for today’s bibliomancy message. I didn’t even realize it was the last book in the Old Testament, but that feels very fitting for the transition we’re collectively moving through right now, and also for the message I found within these four chapters.
“A prophecy: The word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi.”
I truly hope this message finds you right on time!
As I started reading, I definitely felt the more dominant side of God’s presence.
“A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says the Lord Almighty.
And I’m not gonna lie… at first I was like, dang… He is not letting up on those priests! Their sacrifices aren’t good enough, their fires are useless, the offerings are contemptible… YIKES.
So initially, I found myself siding with the priests. What are they doing wrong? Why doesn’t God just accept what they have to give? Why do we have to show up perfectly to be worthy of blessings and love?
Because God is clearly not pleased, and at first, I read the chapter through the lens of rebuke, punishment, and fear disguised as control. But I had to pause and ask… am I missing the actual message here?
And yes… yes, I was.
At first glance, God could be perceived as a loving leader turned cold dictator. Someone ruling through fear, control, and scarcity. But with patience and a closer look, it’s actually not that black and white.
The people actually being addressed were cheating. The real message is about integrity.
Integrity: the firm adherence to moral values, principles, honesty, consistency, and self-control.
And that’s where everything clicked.
There’s so many ways I wanted to take this message:
1. Generational patterns and ancestral healing
God speaks about rebuking the descendants of those who failed to honor him and that immediately brought me to generational cycles.
When we talk about ancestral healing and cycle breaking, this is what that can realistically look like. Not everything we carry started with us. Some of it is inherited, unprocessed, and simply unresolved.
And not all ancestors are aligned with our highest good. Just like in life, we don’t get along with every family member, not everyone has the same level of awareness, growth, or accountability. That energetic dissonance doesn’t disappear just because someone passes on so you want to be careful with who you call on and why.
Sometimes what we’re working through are things they never got the chance to heal or even understand. And when we can accept that, it softens the shame. It’s not always “what’s wrong with me?” Sometimes it’s “what was I born into, and what am I here to transform?”
That doesn’t make the responsibility light… but it does make it meaningful.
2. Integrity in what we accept and what we offer
I don’t even see these downfalls that God bestows upon people as “curses.” They feel like natural consequences of choices we know we need to make, but avoid.
God is choosy. The universe is choosy. And we are allowed to be choosy too.
This hit me specifically in regard to my own life with the boundaries I’ve been setting romantically. It feels like the same old energies keep showing up in new bodies, asking to be chosen and focused on again… but this time I’m reacting differently because I know I want different.
I’m not rewarding anymore impure offers of confusion, inconsistency, or half-assed effort. And if that confuses or frustrates people… it’s alright, they’ll figure it out in their own time because I’m being very direct about my standards.
God sees everything. And so do we, when we’re honest with ourselves.
I’m no longer acting naive about energy I can clearly feel, even if the other person tries to hide it, deny it, or project it back to me as if I’m misreading things. I don’t need to give people more opportunities to gaslight me. If something feels misaligned, I honor that. If someone approaches without clarity, integrity, or consistency, I move accordingly.
Their confusion is my clarity. And that’s not being cold—it’s having standards.
3. Walking the walk
This message isn’t just about other people needing to walk the walk. It’s about how we move toward the things we say we want as well.
God doesn’t require perfection, but He does require intention.
If you say you’re going to do something… do it. If you know something isn’t aligned for you… stop entertaining it.
For me, it’s more than just holding the new boundaries I have with others; it’s also about showing deeper commitment to myself and to what I know I need to do. No more excuses if I’m truly serious about this next chapter of my life. I’m tired of hearing myself say, “I’m gonna…” when it comes to smoking and never following through.
And I’m excited to be more motivated and consistent with my filming and writing schedule because I enjoy receiving a steady stream of income and clients in return.
I know I don’t have to show up perfect. I’m already loved as I am, and I won’t always feel this motivated. But I know what’s best for me, and sometimes you just have to do the right things even when you don’t feel like it.
For others, it might look like:
Disconnecting from people you’ve outgrown (God does believe in guilt by association)
No longer eating the food you enjoy, but is toxic to your physical health
Releasing habits that keep you stuck in anxiety or fear
Believing in and trusting what your intuition has already made clear
So in what ways do you break covenant with yourself? And what would your life actually look like if you didn’t?
Remember, God is a reflection of us. He sees and knows all, and while we may not be fully aware of everything we do or why, subconsciously we’re still noting our own patterns like a script to follow. Then our future selves look back and think, “It could’ve all been so simple had I just…”
But it’s okay! Because every day is the perfect day to try again and just do it!
Show yourself the integrity you want others to show you and align yourself with the blessings you want! God seeks “Godly offspring”—people who live in alignment with their divine inner truth.
So what divine book are you really writing with your life?
Because it’s already being written, whether you’re conscious of it or not.
Closing Message
What divine timing for the arrival of this message on March 1st! A month of renewal, rebirth, and new cycles—this is the perfect time to recommit! Not halfway, not “I’ll try,” but fully, intentionally, with integrity.
Because one day we all sit with ourselves in judgment. Not our image, not our status, not our distractions… just our soul.
Will it be satisfied with the effort you gave? It’s okay if the answer has been no, but it doesn’t get to stay no without karmic consequence.
If we’re going to talk the talk, we have to walk the walk, ESPECIALLY those of us whose paths guide and inspire others. Those who can endure being purified and refined, no matter how long or uncomfortable, will find their eternal peace. Not only in the afterlife, but also in your waking, lived experience.
Because another thing that stood out to me in Malachi 1:14 is when God says His name is to be feared, but in Malachi 3:5 He says “do not fear me.”
And that helped me realize that what we often fear is often the idea of judgment, when in reality what we’re truly facing is ourselves. We don’t need to fear God. And we don’t need to fear ourselves. Because even justice is just the natural consequence of our choices.
Think of pearls—organic gems formed inside mollusks (oysters or mussels) as a defense mechanism against irritants, such as parasites or bits of food that enter their shells. Or consider diamonds, created deep within the Earth’s mantle after enduring immense pressure and searing heat.
God simply applies the same pressure.
“Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.”
God speaks of being an unchanging entity, and of how we, as his creation, therefore can never truly be destroyed. It felt like the personification of the law of conservation—our blessings can never truly be destroyed or denied to us, because we are ALWAYS capable of renewal and transformation.
So when we return to God through our inner truth with integrity, we also return to our blessings.
“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.”
It’s us who rob ourselves through our own offerings.
And isn’t it interesting… the card for March was about offerings and masculine energy—conscious choices and aligned action.
This is why I LOVE spirituality! Everything really is connected and always unfolds in divine timing. Serving God, or your highest self, is never futile. It only feels that way when we serve without integrity.
So let’s write our next book with it.
