We’re all going to be managing a push and pull between our logical minds and whatever emotional truths we’ve been hiding underneath them.

It all starts on Monday, August 24 at 02:17 AM when Mercury in Leo makes a harmonious aspect to Lilith in Sagittarius. This will be our permission slip to say the thing everyone else in the room is trying to keep quiet. Unfiltered—no apology necessary for being the realest🤷🏽♀️
That sets the stage for Mercury to move into Virgo the next morning, Tuesday, August 25th at 07:04 AM. At this time, the collective mental and communicative focus shifts from performing to processing, analyzing the details, and being of service.
This energy intensifies even more at 2:56 PM when Mercury trines Chiron retrograde in Taurus. If an old wound around your body, worth, or security starts to sting, it just means that the underlying facts require deeper reflection. That is where you’ll find the medicine.
The peak hits on Thursday, August 27 at 1:03 PM, when Mercury meets the Sun at 4° of Virgo—creating a crystal-clear Mercury cazimi! Because Mercury rules Virgo, this isn’t just a brief alignment; it is a blinding, high-voltage spotlight illuminating your mind. Think of it as a cosmic system upgrade and be sure to expect a hyper-focused mental download around this day. You’ll want to pay extra close attention to every single thought and conversation that passes, because whatever clarity lands here, you’ll need it less than twelve hours later.
On Friday, August 28th at 12:14 AM and 12:18 AM, we finally hit the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse at 4° of Pisces—opposite where Mercury would have just gone Cazimi. That’s not a coincidence either—it means that whatever clarity started showing up around Tuesday, this eclipse is going to test it or ask you to let go of something so that the clarity has room to actually land.
Eclipses are extremely karmic, and this one feels exceptionally potent. Because Pisces rules the 12th house of the subconscious, isolation, and what’s hidden, your energy might feel completely drained right now. Personally, my battery has been running on fumes all week. But there’s a purpose to this exhaustion: the cosmos wants us to slow down and pay attention. This eclipse is cracking open the illusions we’ve all been holding onto, especially where we’ve been over-functioning or handing over our power just to keep the peace.
Pay close attention to the fact that both the Eclipse and the Cazimi occur at the 4th degree on the Virgo-Pisces axis. In degree theory, 4° is both a Cancerian degree and a critical degree for the mutable signs, of which both Virgo and Pisces are two. This means that even though we’re dealing with a mix of logical Virgo, intellectual Gemini, and spiritual Pisces, this entire purge tracks straight back to our hearts, our emotional roots, and core sense of comfort.
The universe is shaking up our external foundations to show us exactly where our true emotional safety lives.
Then just hours later, on Friday, the 28th at 3:24 AM and 6:18 PM EDT, both Mercury and the Sun square Uranus in Gemini. Expect lots of mental static, unexpected news, and plans going left without warning. Try not to force a straight path forward through all of this. We need to surrender to the messiness while the old foundations clear out.
