It’s the first rainy and somewhat chilly day we’re having in the Charlotte area, and surprisingly, I’m enjoying it. I’m more of a sunshine and heat kind of girl, but with the full moon and partial lunar eclipse approaching, I’ve been feeling very on edge and this weather is giving me the perfect reason to prioritize comfort and relaxation. What better way to do that than making some soup?

I decided to make myself a hearty bowl of my classic pasta fagioli—pasta and bean soup, but I felt like spicing it up.

Recently I’ve come across studies, including that of Dr. Masaru Emoto, suggesting that water molecules change structure based on the energy they’re exposed to. This can be a direct influence of simple acts such as speaking to water with specific intentions or playing music around water. Since so much of what we consume is water, I thought about applying this knowledge through my cooking.

As I chop, stir, and simmer away, I focus my energy and infuse each ingredient and step with positive intentions—whether it’s to attract abundance, prosperity, clarity, healing, or protection. I believe that by cooking with purpose, my body, heart, and soul will receive the proper nourishment it needs, not only physically but spiritually as well.

To do this it’s also important to know what spiritual properties each ingredient holds on its own:

  • Basil: love and abundance

  • Thyme: courage and strength

  • Garlic: wards off negativity

  • Onion and Celery: bring clarity and balance

  • Carrot: grounding energy

  • Olive Oil: connects us to ancient wisdom

  • Salt: purification and cleansing

  • Bay Leaves: often used in spell work to manifest and enhance psychic awareness

  • Rosemary: protection and healing

I hope that as you try this recipe and infuse your intentions into the process, you’ll experience the same sense of connection, magic, and nourishment that I do! Whether you’re seeking comfort, clarity, or simply a delicious meal, may your pasta fagioli serve as a reminder that the energy we put into what we create always finds its way back to us.

Happy cooking and may your witches’ brew work its magic!✨
