Weekly Energetic Forecast: May 18th–24th, 2026
Mars in Taurus. Venus in Cancer. Slow down and feel more, because this is the week we arrive.
Welcome back, divine tribe!✨
I hope everyone was able to get some rest after the (possibly) hectic weekend we just had with the New Moon in Taurus and Mercury returning to one of its ruling signs, Gemini, because the energy this week is urging us to feel everything fully and move with intention. We’re not rushing, we’re landing. And I’m so glad to have Earth Fire Flow Tarot back with me for this one, offering an affirmation for each rising sign in the paid section below! If you’ve been here before, you already know the magic she brings. If you’re new, you’re in for a treat.💛
Let’s get into it!
THE WEEK AHEAD
***All times listed are EST***
Monday sets the whole tone for this week, and it does it fast.
Mars moves into Taurus at 6:26 pm, which is a pretty significant shift after its time in Aries. Our drive, ambition, and how we take action slow way down, but in the best possible way! Taurus Mars isn’t lazy, it’s deliberate. We’re thinking longer term now, we’re building, we’re pacing ourselves.
Just a few hours later, Venus enters Cancer at 9:05 pm (my Venus return purrr), followed immediately by the Moon entering Cancer at 9:46 and conjuncting Venus almost right away. That’s a lot of emotional water entering the room at once. Venus in Cancer is soft, nourishing, protective, and deeply personal. We want to feel safe in our relationships, in our homes, in our bodies, and in our financial foundations. That moon-Venus conjunction happening Monday night is genuinely tender. It’s a good night to be close to people you trust or to nurture yourself.
Tuesday brings some mental activity early on.
Mercury in Gemini sextiles Neptune in Aries just after midnight, which softens the way we’re thinking and communicating. There might be some creative inspiration and intuition available if you’re up early enough to use it, the kind that comes in that half-asleep, half-awake space. Or try keeping a journal by your pillow as you sleep, for any revealing dreams! Venus sextiles Mars at 1:36 am, the two benefics in compatible signs working together harmoniously. Relationships, creative work, and sensual pleasure all have some flow behind them through the night.
At 11:44 am, Mercury squares the North and South Nodes, which can bring a decision point or some mental friction around the direction we’re heading versus where we’ve come from. There may be information that doesn’t sit quite right or a conversation that asks us to reckon with something. Mercury then trines Pluto retrograde in Aquarius at 6:52 pm, which actually helps us dig deeper into that tension. We can come out with some real clarity rather than the usual surface-level answers. The squares to Neptune and Saturn the Moon makes overnight, and in the afternoon, can add some emotional heaviness or cloudiness, but these are relatively brief.
Wednesday morning is worth noting.
The moon conjuncts Jupiter in Cancer at 9:26 am and then goes void of course, which is a genuinely expansive emotional moment. Jupiter in Cancer is already amplifying our need for belonging, security, and nourishment, and the moon touching it can feel like a brief window of real emotional abundance or gratitude. Lean into that before it goes quiet for the day. The Sun enters Gemini at 8:37 pm, which will shift our collective focus toward curiosity, communication, ideas, and connection over the next month. We’re moving out of Taurus season’s slower, sensory energy into something quicker and more mentally engaging!
Thursday is fairly quiet…
… besides the Moon in Leo opposing Pluto retrograde in Aquarius at 8:01 am, which can stir up some internal tension around power, control, or feeling unseen. A Leo moon wants to be felt and expressed, Pluto retrograde in Aquarius can make that feel restricted or complicated by collective or systemic dynamics. It’s not necessarily dramatic, but you may notice the push-pull. The moon goes void of course Thursday evening, around 6 pm, and stays that way until very early Saturday morning, so Thursday night and all of Friday are not the best times to launch anything or make major moves.
Friday’s biggest transit is the Sun conjuncting Uranus in Gemini at 10:26 am.
This is a moment of sudden insight, disruption, or liberation in how we think, speak, or connect. Uranus is unpredictable, and cazimis here can bring loud, bold, or unexpected events, news, or internal breakthroughs. Because they’re in Gemini, it could show up as a conversation that changes something, information that comes out of nowhere, or a sudden shift in perspective.
Mercury also sextiles Saturn in Aries at 2:02 pm, which helps us ground whatever is sparked on Friday morning into something more structured and actionable. That’s a useful combo! Venus trines the North Node and sextiles the South Node at 6:41 pm, which is a lovely, supportive aspect for relationships and for our paths forward. Whatever Venus in Cancer represents for you in terms of home, family, love, or emotional security, it’s getting a nod from the nodal axis that feels aligned.
Saturday morning is our week’s action point.
The Moon enters Virgo at 2:57 am, ending the VOC. In its First Quarter phase, the Moon perfects when it squares the Sun in Gemini. This is the moment where we have to make a choice about what we’re building and actually do something with it. Virgo moon wants to organize, refine, and make things practical. Gemini sun is full of ideas. The tension between them asks us to stop spinning and commit to something concrete.
Sunday wraps the week.
The waxing gibbous Moon squares Mercury in Gemini at 6:05 am, which might bring some mental restlessness or miscommunication if we’re not grounded. The more meaningful energy arrives in the evening when Mars in Taurus sextiles the North Node and trines the South Node at 7:51 pm. This is significant because it connects our forward momentum, especially anything we’ve started building since Mars entered Taurus on Monday, directly to our soul’s direction. There’s alignment between the way we’re taking action and where we’re actually meant to be going. The Sun sextiles Neptune in Aries at 10:21 pm, which softens everything out and opens up some inspiration and spiritual receptivity before we head into the next week. The moon goes void of course Sunday evening and stays that way into Monday morning, so let Sunday be a rest and integration day rather than a push.
